Circle Card - Thankful Wreath
Happy Thanksgiving week!! I am usually one to skip right over the Thanksgiving hype (even though I cook and host Thanksgiving every year) right to Christmas cheer. But, even so, I wanted to take a little time and make a thankful card suitable for anyone at your table.
I decided to create this wreath out of two small branch stamps that came in the My Monthly Hero Kit for November. First I die cut a circle out of 110lb white card stock and lightly traced the circle die that was two sized sizes smaller for a guide of where to stamp the leaves. I used three different color inks on the bigger stamp (Hero Arts Soft Leaf, and SSS Evergreen and Lucky) and I used SSS Soft Navy periodically through the wreath with the smaller branch stamp.
After that, I stamped my sentiment "a million thanks for all that you do" from The Ton stamps onto some Toned Tan card stock and heat embossed it with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. I cut a simple rectangle out around the sentiment and adhered it to the center of the wreath with foam tape for dimension.
Next, I used Nuvo Crystal drops in Copper Penny as berry-like dots all around my wreath. I thought the color was a nice nod to the traditional Thanksgiving colors.
To make the circle card base, I folded a piece of 100lb card stock in half and used the same size circle die that I used for the card front BUT I left just a bit hanging over the edge of the folded paper edge and cutting plates so that it would leave just the very top together to create a card base. I then adhered my card front to my card base with foam tape.
And that is that! I hope that you enjoyed! Have a marvelous Thanksgiving! See you soon!
