Catherine Pooler - Love Is In The Air SOA Collection
Hi there! I am so excited to be designing for the release of Catherine Pooler's new Stamp Of Approval collection, Love Is In The Air. It is packed to the brim with exclusive stamp sets, dies, and a little surprise! This is an exclusive, quarterly collection and will be available at 9am tomorrow, January 9th, to those who are on the waitlist so be sure to sign up for that below. IF there are any collections remaining, it will go on sale to the public at 6pm. These items were designed specifically for this collection and won't be available individually for months.
TODAY IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO COMMENT AND WIN!
Comment on this blog post for a chance to win! A random winner from EACH day's comments will be announced on January 10th on Catherine's blog. The winners will win their own collection box and if they already bought it, they will be issued a $100 gift certificate to use towards a future purchase!
This collection is of course great for valentines day, but literally every piece included can be used for SO MANY occasions. I swear, if I could only buy one product of stamps for this entire year, I would get this collection. I wanted to showcase that to you today.
First, I made this fun yet simple card featuring the Sunburst die included only I transformed them into flowers.
I decided to use pink for three of the flowers and to create a focal point with gold embossing for the final flower. To make these look even more like flowers, I used a ruler to create a straight line in green maker and added some leaves using a stamp from The World Awaits set and Grass Skirt ink. Finally, I added the sentiment "I'm Gonna Miss You" to a piece of Midnight card stock and embossed it in white.
For my next card, I wanted to try a different style than what I'm used to. I'm not one to keep things very simple and I'm also not one to use every color of the rainbow. Challenge accepted. Catherine's inks are too gorgeous to not use all of them...at the same time...on one card.
I simply stamped the two biggest continent stamps in Midnight ink and also the sentiment And So The Adventure Begins from the same set. I used a few hearts as embellishments rather than drops or sequins and I'm so glad I did.
Then, I stamped the bottle stamp included in the Bon Voyage set in a rainbow of colors. I adhered them to a string of twine along the top to give the illusion of a hanging tag and added the contrail and paper plane.
This card gives such a great travel vibe and could be used for so many occasions like a honeymoon send off to a student off to college. Have I mentioned I'm in love with this collection? I seriously think it may be all you need..
