Catherine Pooler June Release Blog Hop - Sunny With a Side of Sparkle
Hello crafters! It's that time again; Catherine Pooler release! And as always, we've got some doozies for you. Welcome to Day 1 of the Blog Hop and Release Day!
Lets start with one of the new stamp sets released this month called Say It With Diamonds.
Geometric shape stamps are so versatile to use for card making and this set takes it a step further by transforming these shapes into leaf/nature like arrangements. I love that it also includes sentiments arranged in the same diamond pattern. I used them here with some of the ink colors from the Zen Garden collection for a more muted feel. I created a sharp angle line on the card by masking part of it off with low tack tape and stamping only on the lower portion of the card. The leafy designs and colored ink I used reminded me of fall, so I used the "So Very Thankful For You" sentiment from the same set.
Don't forget to comment on each post along the hop for your chance to win! 5 commenters will be chosen to win two CP ink pads (and free shipping!)
This month, Catherine is also introducing the completely swoon worthy Paisleys and Peacocks patterned paper. I've got more paper usage coming soon (stay tuned for that!) but here I decided to use the diagonal purple stripe paper as a mat against a clean and simple card using the Everyday Mod stamp set for little pots and a small stamp from the Say It With Diamonds set as plants in those pots. But, let's be honest...these turned out to be beets and I'm thrilled with it! ha!
Check out all the new products here! ^
For my final card today, I used the new Starlights stamp set to create this star trail card. To make the trail's shape I used a piece of low tack, reposition-able, masking paper and cut the shape with an Xacto knife. I then placed the paper over the entire card front and stamped the small star stamps in Versamark ink and embossed with WOW Embossing powder in Cloud 9. I then created the sentiment Wish Upon A Star by putting together some of the words in the stamp set. I just love these create your own sentiment sets!
Now the fun begins! Hop along with us and make sure to leave a comment at each stop for your chance to win two CP ink pads! 5 winners will be chosen and announced evening of June 22
