Back to Basics Catherine Pooler Sale

by - August 29, 2018

Hello, friends! I’ve got some exciting news! Catherine Pooler is having a Back to Basics sale in her shop until August 30th. The sale includes items that were in the recently discontinued Foundations box and offers them at 18% off! There are 3 stamp sets and a few craft room essentials. Click here to see all of the items.

For my first card I’m featuring today, I used the mug stamp from the For Everything set along with the warm wishes sentiment. I did some masking to create a big stack of mugs on top of some watercolor splatter made to look like coffee. I also used the small heart stamp and Over Coffee ink to create some more interest to my splatter background.

For my next card, I used the Amazing Florals set to create a fun, folksy, floral pattern in the center of a piece of card stock cut to 3 3/4” x 5 1/2” card stock. This makes the card front the same length as my A2 sized base but quite thinner, leaving space on both the left and right of the card front.

To embellish the sides peeking out, I used the three line polka dot stamp in Black Jack ink all the way down the card stock. To finished it off, I used a piece of metallic gold card stock and cut a circle that would fit around the floral pattern and stamped the sentiment “You Are” and “My Very Favorite” to the card front.

Finally, I’ve got a bright and festive Christmas card using the For Everything set once again. I stamped the Tree in Versamark ink and used WOW Embossing Powder’s flourescent green. I double embossed to make it pop off of the card and stamped the smallest start on top of the tree. After I stamped the sentiment Merry and Bright, I used the snowflake stamps in It’s A Girl and It’s A Boy to bring some color to surround the tree.

For the embellished edge, I used the diagonal stripe stamp and Rockin Red ink to create a candy cane effect.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing a few ways that I used the stamp sets featured in the Back To Basics sale! Treat yourself this Back To School season! See you soon!
