Trinity Stamps - VIDEO - Watercolor Feature Card

by - January 28, 2019

Hello everyone! Thank you for stopping by today. I've got a new video up on the Trinity Stamps Youtube Channel featuring a simple watercolored feature card. Check out the video below:

To start, I used Twilight Ink by Catherine Pooler to stamp my image throughout the background of my card front. This ink is a very soft and light gray color so it doesn't take away from the main image of the card which is great.

To watercolor my main image, I used Distress Watercolor Card Stock and stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black ink because it is waterproof and the water used to paint wont make the ink run. For the actual watercoloring, I used Altenew's watercolor brush makers because of how vibrant the colors are. I decided to keep my watercoloring very simple and used just a few shades that I knew would brighten up the otherwise black and white card front. To add a little something extra, I used MFT Black and White striped patterned paper as a focal point to adhere the floral image to. Finally, I used the big Thanks word die by Altenew and adhered that to the top portion of the card. I did cut of the "s" in Thanks so that I could stamp "you" underneath the die.

I hope that you've enjoyed learning a bit about how I created this card. If you decide to try it out, be sure to tag myself (@ashlea_crafts) and Trinity Stamps (@trinitystampsllc). We love seeing and sharing your projects! See you soon!
