Heffy Friends Blog Hop
Hi, friends! I'm so glad you could join me today! Todays post is part of the Heffy Friends Blog Hop, so if you haven't been through the hop, be sure to view all of the links at the end of the post. If you leave a comment on each post you could win a 50 Euro GC to the Heffy Doodle shop! Let's get started!
I decided to focus on ink blending backgrounds for my scene cards and here's a video showing how I created a glow-y ethereal scene with Distress Oxides:
I also created another card using the same colors of Distress Oxides with a slightly different technique. Instead of creating a circle and blending from the center out, I blended from the bottom of the card front to the top to give the look of a sunset.
I hope that you've enjoyed learning a little bit about how I created these cards with simple ink blending techniques. Please be sure to continue along with the hop and leave a comment on each stop for your chance to win!
Thank you again for stopping by! I'll see you soon!

Cute cards and I like how you made the ink blended backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteThe ink blended backgrounds on these cards are gorgeous; but it’s the colors of the gnomes and bugs that really draw my eye with these two cards!! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteevery time i see those cute FAT lil fireflies I just want to squish their cute lil butts!!! and gnomes - well, who doesn't love gnomes?? ink blending is just fun. thanks!!
ReplyDeleteThat is not a color combo that I would automatically gravitate towards, but I love how it turned out. It definitely has that ethereal glow that you were aiming for. And great job coloring your elements in a way that they stand out without clashing; I think I would have had a hard time picking the right colors for that. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours, that background is simply spectacular! And the whole card is really sweet, thanks so much for the lovely inspiration!
