Using Patterned Paper for Handmade Cards - The Stamp Market

by - March 14, 2019

Hello again, friends! This month has been a doozy so far. I have gotten to collaborate with some of my favorite companies and today I'm bringing it back to the incredible Stamp Market. Have you seen the release of new patterned paper?! It's seriously amazing. There's two sets; solids and patterned and they are equally gorgeous. I don't know about you, but I sometimes struggle to find ways to use patterned paper in a tasteful way on my cards. I don't want to overtake my card with different colors and patterns because it can quickly turn into a mismatch mess. Enter: the Circle Card Cover Die.

This die does wonders for creating tons of interest to your card without overwhelming the design. You can use patterned paper to fill in the circles, or use the coordinating stamp set, Circles and Sentiments. The patterns in the stamp set also coordinate with some of the patterned paper and the sizes are a perfect fit for the circles in the cover die.

The sentiments in the Circles and Sentiments set are also fabulous for any occasion. I used some of the sentiments here on my card, and I love that they're legible but small enough to accentuate the design of the card and not take away from the aesthetics. Let's take a closer look at the new paper line, shall we? We shall!

You may notice that the colors included in the patterned paper on the left directly coordinate the solid color on the right. This is perfect for creating crisp, clean designs that pack an added punch and incorporate cool, modern patterns.

I hope that you've enjoyed learning a bit about how I created this card and pulled different patterns together using some new products from The Stamp Market. Please let me know if you've got any questions and check below for links to these products!
