Altenew October 2019 Stencil/Washi Tape/Die Cut Tape Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello, crafty friends! Welcome back to my blog and to my stop on the Altenew Stencil, Washi Tape and Die Cut Tape release. This release is so fun and has endless possibilities to create beautiful projects for card makers, scrapbookers, planners and more. Washi tape is so easy and enjoyable to work with, and Altenew has upped the game by introducing some stunning additions along with a new line of Die Cut Tapes. Check out my video here to see the difference between the two, and how they can be used together and independently to create gorgeous designs.
The focal card in the video is this one that combines both the new Die Cut Tape, Bouquet and one of the newest wide Washi Tapes, Calming Bouquet. I love that these colors and images are so dainty but bold, and compliment each other well. It helps that this card was a breeze to make!
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by 10/8/2019 for a chance to win. We’ll also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 10/12/2019.
Another of my favorite products from this release is the new Vibrant Spray Die Cut Tape. These Die Cut Tapes are more vibrant, shinier, and a different material than the wide washi tapes. They still reposition when caution is taken, but not quite as easy. My video above dives into the differences just a bit.
Let's change gears for a moment and get to one of the stencils available in this newest release. I really love the illustration on this Rose Bouquet stencil and decided that I really wanted to try a no line coloring technique with it. To achieve this I ink blended the stencil with Fade Out ink by Inkon3, used Copic Markers to set a base of color down and then used my Prismacolor Colored Pencils to add detail and dimension to the image.
For the card above, I pulled out the Calming Bouquet wide washi once again as a focal point to my card front. The lines on the new Gradient Lines Washi Tape direct the eye across the width of the card front and create a great aesthetic with the florals.
I hope that you've enjoyed seeing a bit of inspiration using the new Washi, Stencil and Die Cut Tape release. Don't forget to comment before hopping along to Amber Rain Davis
