Altenew Build-A-Flower: Lavender Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello crafty people! Welcome to November, and welcome to the Build A Flower Lavender release blog hop! We've got lots of fun inspiration for you on todays hop, so let's just get right to it. Also, don't forget to check out the prize details later on in the post.
This set creates a large lavender bloom including the stem. I especially like how the size of the flower with the full stem takes up the entire length of an A2 sized card and therefore makes it so easy to create a clean and simple design. While lavenders are normally purple, I decided to stray a bit from the beaten path and include a pink bloom in the center of my card front. I love the contrast between the green stem and the pink and purple flowers against one another in the bunch on the card front.
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog for a chance to win. We’ll also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 11/9/2019.
For my the background of my lavender bouquet, I ink blended just behind where I planned on placing the florals. I let the color radiate outward from the center until it faded into the white of the card front. To add a little more interest I used the same light pink color diluted with water and splattered some around the card stock. I love that this picks up the color of the pink flower and works cohesively with the design.
I finished the card off with the sentiment "thanks a bunch" but decided to stamp it vertically to let the florals shine in the center. I hope that you've enjoyed seeing how I used the newest Build A Flower set from Altenew! Your next stop on the hop is the super talented Nathalie DeSousa.
As always you can find the full hop list just below the product links below. Thank you for joining me and I'll see you again very soon!
