Hero Arts + Pinkfresh Studio Collaboration - Celebrating Our Industry
Hi there! Thank you so much for joining us on our collaboration blog hop with Hero Arts and Pinkfresh Studio today! I'm overjoyed to be participating in this celebration of our community with this gorgeous stamp set designed by Pinkfresh Studio including lettering by design team member Caly Person. (Just want to give a little WOO for her, here! Great job, Caly)
If you're like me, you're more of a visual learner/inspiration getter (it's totally a word) I've created this video tutorial showing how I created two looks using this one stamp set. Check it out at my youtube channel linked here below:
Giveaway information: Comment on each hop along the way for your chance to win one of three prizes! One commenter will win the You Make A Difference stamp set that we're all working with today, one will win $25 to Hero Arts and one commenter will win $25 to Pinkfresh Studio! There are lots of chances and stops along the way, so be sure to leave a quick comment before you continue on.
For my first card today, I decided to do a quick no-line coloring technique with fadeout ink and colored pencils. The lines to this stamp set are thin and sketch-like which makes it the perfect set for this technique. I stamped the floral image with my MISI using fadeout ink and simply traced all of the lines with very sharp colored pencils. I wasn't too worried about being exact because I wanted the end result to look like I sketched it myself, so imperfections didn't bother me this time around. Finally, I embossed the sentiment with white Hero Arts embossing powder onto a black piece of card stock and used my wire trimmer to create several strips which I adhered to the center of the floral image with foam tape. I finished it all off with some Pinkfresh jewels and adhered it to an A2 sized card base.
My next card uses the set in an understated way. I used alcohol inks to create a border that runs from the bottom right all the way up the right side of my card front. I then selectively stamped just that portion of the stamp (if you're wondering how I did that, check out my video above!) in versa mark ink and heat embossed the image with a sparkly gold embossing powder.
I used the sentiment "I'm your biggest fan" from the set, and stamped it in STAZ ON black ink to be sure that it would leave a good impression on the slick alcohol ink card stock. I finished it off with some more Pinkfresh jewels and adhered it to a yellow A2 sized card base.
I hope that you've enjoyed the inspiration on my stop today! As always you can find all of the products that I used today linked below. Your next stop in the always amazing Caly Person and I know you are just going to LOVE her examples. You can find the full hop list just below the supply list. I'll see you again soon!
