Altenew: A Year In Review Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello all! As crafters, closing out the year often means taking a look at our creations and how we've grown throughout. Altenew is celebrating that very exercise in our blog hop today.
One of my most favorite projects from this year is the one above showcasing an all-time favorite of mine, Wallpaper Art stamp set. The stencil I used here is the Doily Frame stencil and frames my no line floral image perfectly. This made it into my top four because of the no-line watercolor technique. I'm still learning to this day, but when I look at this card I can feel the joy I first felt when I looked at the finished result and though "OMG! This is good!"
Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by 01/03/2020 for a chance to win. Random winners will also be chosen to win a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each stop on the hop. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 01/06/2020.
This card featuring the Fuchsia Build A Flower set is another favorite of mine. I used the outline image included in the stamp set to, once again, use the no-line coloring technique, only this time using Copic markers and colored pencils for detail. I think what sets it apart for me is the orientation of the flowers (hanging from the top of the card) and the slight blending of the green on the card front to help the flowers pop a but more.
2019 was an especially great for me as a card maker as I joined a few dream teams that I never imagined I'd have the opportunity to be on. One of those teams is the Video Inspiration team for Altenew. The above card is my favorite that I've made for the Altenew channel to date. I'm literally coming to a realization with you during this blog post that I prefer my no-line coloring projects to others I've created. 2020 will definitely be a year for me to learn and expand on my no-line techniques.
Last but not least is this card using the Altenew and Hero Arts collaboration stamp set Bloom and Grow. This flower is one of my favorite stamp images from the year. The size and shape of the petals makes it so fun to color and practice adding detail. I loved being a part of this collaboration, celebrating our industry.
