Ellen Hutson Release Blog Hop
Hello friends! Welcome to today's Summer of Stamping hop for Ellen Hutson! Today we have some gorgeous sets to share with you and I know you'll fall for them just as much as I have. These sets are perfect for any occasion, especially just a Summer hello which I know I'll be sending lots of! Let's jump right into my project!
Today I'm focusing on the beautiful Mondo Pansies stamp set. We all LOVE a good Mondo floral image and this one is so fun to play around with color! I love that Pansies come is so many colors within the same flower and I wanted to show that in my no line watercolored image. I chose a really beautiful purple shade from the Altenew 24 Artist watercolor set and chose to add a little pop of color with the bright yellow center petal.
I am often at a loss when it comes to flower centers. This was admittedly a bit of a cop out for me here. I know that Pansies often have black centers, so I decided to color the entire center black. Looking back, this could have been done more gracefully, but I don't hate it. It definitely gives a more loosely watercolored look than I am used to, but I think it still gets the point across.
Hop Prize Info
We’ve got a super fun prize!!! One random & lucky commenter will win $25 to the EH shop!!! To enter for a chance to win, make sure to leave comments at each stop along the hop! And don’t forget to comment here too for a bonus entry! Comment before Saturday, July 18th at 11:59pm PDT. The winner will be notified by email.
For my sentiment, I used one of the sub sentiments from the Thank You For Being A Friend set. I love that it can be used with the main sentiment or on it's own like I used it here. I placed the watercolored image on a gray colored card base and embellished it with some gold sequins to add a little sparkle.
I hope that you've enjoyed seeing some inspiration using a couple of the newest sets! These are available today and you can find all of the products linked below! Also, please find the full hop list below and be sure to leave a comment before you hop along.

ReplyDeleteWhen I go to the greenhouse in spring to buy plants, hubby always says to get that one... as I'm almost out the door, he says ya know the light purple ones with the little face. I smile and that starts my spring!! I'd love to duplicate this beautiful card to memorialize that precious tradition. Thanks for the little tear.
